The Wellness Connections Resource Directory. – the Central Valley’s only Directory dedicated to wellness – 10,000 copies printed annually and available in such premier locations as Kristna’s Ranch Market, Whole Foods, Tower Health and both locations of BAlive.

 The Wellness Resource Directory is produced by our group of local health care practitioners who formed Wellness Connections to support each other’s business growth and passion for wellness.  The group is dedicated to creating wellness for all the residents of the Central Valley – and the Directory is a significant part of our mission.

 In our Directory you will find:

1.       Individual Listings for Body, Mind and Spirit – holistic healthcare, personal care products, nutritional supplements and environmentally-friendly services, psychological counselors and spiritual counselors.

We will begin taking Reservations for the tenth edition of our Online and Print Directory on January 1, 2010. Price will include 1 full year of Online Directory exposure and inclusion in the next Print Directory scheduled for July of 2011.

Who are the Members of Wellness Connections?

The membership is made up of local health care and healing arts professionals and product suppliers committed to our community's health.  We believe in maintaining or restoring health from a holistic view point that body, mind and spirit work together to create a state of well-being in the individual.

• Membership dues are $60 annually, due in January.
• Those joining for the first time during the calendar year pay $5 per month pro-rated through the end of the year.  An office/couple may decide whether to purchase one or multiple memberships, whatever represents them best.  Only one set of benefits will accrue with each membership.
• Dues are payable by check, cash or credit card, by mail or through our Shopping Cart.

An optional benefit of belonging to Wellness Connections is a subscription to the organizational listserve, facilitated by Yahoo.  A listserve is an open email forum used by the members to make referrals, ask questions, or make announcements. Subscribers of the listserve receive all of the email messages posted to the listserve.

Please indicate on the form if you wish to be added to the WellnessConnections listserve.  Yahoo does not charge any additional fees for this service.

A quarterly magazine for California's Central Valley called World of Wellness — The Magazine for Balanced Living is published by Wellness Connections. At the center of the magazine is a Calendar featuring Classes, Lectures, and Events that promote balanced living. The magazine includes articles in the areas of Healthy Environment, Natural Foods, Holistic Health, Mind & Emotions, and Spiritual Growth.

The magazine circulation is 10,000 copies per quarter distributed through stores, offices, and events in Fresno and surrounding communities.

Healthy Kids…Happy Moms

A three-hour event Empowering Parents with       Prevention Strategies for Keeping Their Children Healthy. 

This event was well-received and will be repeated in the Spring. Watch for an announcement of date and location in the Fall.  Speakers will focus on the following:

• What choices do I have regarding vaccines?
• How can I teach my child Calming and Self-Love techniques?

ARTICLE SUBMISSION GUIDELINES

PURPOSE – The purpose of World of Wellness magazine is to be a voice to promote
balanced living in Central California by educating the community about healthy options
for mind, body, spirit, and environment, and building awareness of the holistic
businesses who offer these services locally.
TOPICS AND QUALITY – We are interested in articles that are timely and educational
in the following categories: Healthy Environment, Natural Foods, Holistic Health, Mind
& Emotions, and Spiritual Growth. Make the writing clear, precise and organized. Our
editorial staff will assist to shape up the content, spelling, and punctuation. Accuracy of
facts is important, so please research your topic fully. Be prepared to provide
supporting research if requested.
PUBLICITY AND PERMISSION – No monetary consideration for articles is given.
Publication of your article will include your bio and contact information.
Submitting an article grants us permission to print it in one issue of the magazine, in a
collection of articles from the magazine, and to use it on our website. We do not claim
exclusive use of the article. We will accept previously printed articles if they are not
exclusive to the other publication, or not likely to have been previously read by our
target audience.
We look forward to receiving your articles, but actual publication depends on timing,
issue themes, space considerations, and the content of the article. All articles go
through our editorial review process, and we reserve the right to edit an article prior to
publication.
FORMAT – Please submit your document as a Microsoft Word file via email attachment
to editor@WorldOfWellnessMag.com. Text should be left-aligned, double-spaced, and
Arial 10 pt. with paragraph indents at .25 inches.
Articles should be about 450 words in length with an additional 45 words for your bio
and contact information. If your article is running long, please contact the editor to
discuss options. Sometimes, exceptionally long and important articles can be split up
over two issues, or there may be extra space in the current issue.
PHOTOS – We encourage a photo or diagram with each article to increase readability
and interest. Do not insert the image(s) into your document. Send separately as an
attachment. It should be approximately 3” x 3” in size at 300 dpi in either TIF or JPG
format. Do not send GIF images or downloads from the Internet as they will not
reproduce well. If you have questions about your image, contact the publisher at
